“We had hail come through. Can you check our roof?”
Hail and Wind
Storm and hail damage on Central Iowa roofs — what it actually looks like.
Hail tends to bruise shingles rather than tear them — soft spots where the mat underneath has been compromised and granules have been knocked loose. From the ground that reads as nothing at all. Up close it is the difference between a roof with years left and one that is already failing.
Wind works differently. It lifts and breaks the seal between shingle courses, so sections can be loose even where nothing is missing. Both are worth having looked at by someone standing on the roof.

After a Storm
What to do next.
- 1
Look around at ground level.
Shingle pieces in the yard, dented gutters or downspouts, and granules collecting at the base of downspouts are all worth noting.
- 2
Check inside.
Ceiling stains, damp spots near chimneys or vents, and water in the attic are worth mentioning when you call.
- 3
Stay off the roof.
Storm-damaged roofs are not safe to walk, and there is nothing you need to confirm up there yourself.
- 4
Have it inspected.
We come out, inspect the roof, and document what we find with photos and scope details. The inspection is free and carries no obligation.
Local, Not Passing Through
Why a local Central Iowa company matters after a storm.
After a big storm, crews arrive in Central Iowa from out of state, knock doors for a few weeks, and move on to the next weather event. If something goes wrong with your roof in two years, there is no one local to call.
We are a locally owned, family-operated company and we have been serving Central Iowa since 2021. We are a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating, we are fully insured, and our workmanship carries a three-year warranty. We are here after the job as well as during it.
